If 'No' wins in referendum, July coup will fail: Nahid Islam

Targeting BNP, National Citizens Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam said that a political party is campaigning for a 'no' in the referendum. If a 'no' vote wins in the referendum, the previous system will remain in place and the July coup will fail.He said this while inaugurating a voting car in front of the NCP office at Bangla Motor in the capital this afternoon (Tuesday). He said that it was the responsibility of all political parties to speak in favor of a 'yes' vote. However, we can see that a special party is speaking in favor of a 'no' vote. However, we want to say that if a 'no' vote is passed in the referendum, the coup will fail. Even if you do not vote for us, we still request you to vote 'yes' in the referendum. He also said that it is not clear what message those who speak in favor of a 'no' vote actually want to send. The power that comes to power if a 'no' vote is passed will be authoritarian. So this election is a vote to take Bangladesh forward for the next 50 years. People are urged to vote consciously.Regarding the question leak in the recruitment exam, he said, we have seen cases of question leak even during the tenure of this government.Nahid Islam said, the 11-party alliance will form the government after winning the election and will carry out reforms. Awami League has let the country down by saying that it will feed rice for 10 taka. People cannot be cheated by cheap campaigns. At the event, NCP spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan said, our campaign for the referendum is starting from today across the country. This program will continue until the elections are held.Meanwhile, the National Citizens Party (NCP) has inaugurated a referendum car for the purpose of the nationwide referendum 'Yes; vote' campaign. The car was inaugurated by the party's central election management committee.
