Hatiyar's son Sabbir Ahmed has been appointed as the personal officer (PO) of Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Ministry.0The information was confirmed in an office order issued by the Administration-3 Branch of the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.The order issued by the Bangladesh Secretariat, Dhaka on Sunday (March 1, 2026) stated that the appointment has been made in accordance with the Ministers, Ministers of State and Deputy Ministers (Remuneration and Privileges) Act, 1973 (Amended up to May 2016).Sabbir Ahmed is a resident of Dakshin Birbiri village of Hatia upazila of Noakhali district. He is the son of Mohammad Mostafur Rahman and Kulsuma Begum. According to the order, he will serve as the personal officer of the State Minister.It has also been informed that this order will be effective from the date of joining with the approval of the appropriate authorities.This office order signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Nasir Islam has been sent to the concerned departments and instructions have been given to take necessary action.Professor Altaf Hossain, another child of Hatia, said that his appointment is an honor for us. We hope that he will perform the assigned duties with honesty and devotion.Local resident and expatriate Rubel Mahmud said, we hope that he will do a good job.
