NCP will stand by minorities if they are oppressed: Sarjis

Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the National Citizens Committee in Panchagarh, said, if those who are minorities or are less in number are victims of threats, harassment or oppression by any person, leader or political party, then contact us. We will be by your side.

He said this as the chief guest at the committee release and discussion meeting in Boda Upazila of Panchagarh on Saturday (November 29) night.

At this time, he told his leaders and workers, we will never step on anyone's toes. If someone comes to step on them, we will not let them go. Whoever does good work from any other party, no matter which party it is, you will support and cooperate with them. If you do not call good good, people will not be encouraged to do good work.

Similarly, no matter which party he belongs to, no matter how big the person is - if anyone is involved in any wrongdoing, harasses or oppresses people, you will have to stand up against him.

After the discussion, Sarjis announced the names of the ten unions and one municipality committee of Boda Upazila. Earlier, at the beginning of the program, he prayed to the countrymen for the recovery and long life of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. At this time, NCP leaders and activists of five upazilas of Panchagarh district were present.
