'Ink' on the face of the photo of Mir Mughd's memorial

Miscreants have smeared Mir Mughd's face on a memorial in Brahmanbaria. Discussions are ongoing among locals about who or what committed the incident between Monday night and Tuesday morning. The incident has drawn various reactions in the area.

Police and locals said that there is a memorial of martyr Mir Mughd in front of the field of Chinar Degree College. After August 5, when the picture of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was damaged, Mir Mughd's picture was installed on that pillar. As a result, unknown miscreants smeared Mir Mughd's ink on the memorial on Monday night. When the matter came to light on Tuesday morning, there was a huge sensation in the area. Meanwhile, upon receiving the news, the officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station and members of other organizations inspected the incident site and collected various information and data.

Joint General Secretary of District Jubo Dal, Ujjal Ahmed, who is one of the initiators of the creation of Mughd Manch, said, "We are very shocked. The spirit of July has been hurt through this incident. We want justice for it."

Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Azharul Islam said, there was a stage of Mir Mughd in Chinar Degree College ground. Someone or someone has painted his picture in ink. Upon receiving the information, members of the police and other agencies have visited the scene. The investigation into the incident is underway. We are trying to unravel the mystery of the incident by talking to the college committee and local representatives. The police are working to quickly bring those involved under the law.
