At least three earthquakes have been felt in and around the capital Dhaka in the last two days. The people of the country have been terrified by such earthquakes.
Experts have also warned of more major earthquakes in the near future.
In this situation, popular Islamic thinker Maulana Mizanur Rahman Azhari has given a Facebook status about the earthquake.
There, he explained the cause of the earthquake in the light of the Holy Quran.
Maulana Mizanur Rahman Azhari wrote, When our building was shaking in the morning earthquake, I was completely stunned for a few moments. My chest was shaking with fear. And if there had been a few more tremors, then there might have been a procession of corpses in Dhaka today. In an instant, the entire city would have turned into a silent graveyard! You have saved us on this journey in mercy. Lord, you are very merciful!
He wrote, Such an unplanned city, rows of risky buildings, weak disaster management; We have no way to survive without the grace of Allah. These disasters are a deep warning for us. He is giving a reminder to the entire village with a slight shake. He wants to convey that no matter how much you transgress, it is in my hands. I can reduce you to dust at any moment if I want. I can destroy this dazzling civilization of yours.
This Islamic thinker writes that according to the Quran, humans have been created weak. In fact, earthquakes come to mix our pride with the ground. They come to show our incompetence. They come as an example of how helpless and helpless we are in front of the mighty, majestic King Allah. He is the Almighty Being against whom no one can raise his head, in whose decisions no one can stand in the way and in whose power everyone is helpless and powerless. Allahu Akbar!
He further wrote, "Some people left their homes today with so many plans on Friday (Friday, November 21). But now they are in the land of no return. We do not realize how great a mercy Allah is to us that we are alive. Well, tell me, is death in our life's plans? Do we do so many tasks, busyness, and various plans in life, keeping death in mind? But when the appointed time of death comes, all our busyness will end. In the world without self, everything will continue just as before."
Reminding us of death, Maulana Mizanur Rahman Azhari then wrote, "No one knows when or how someone's death will come. We should always be ready. Return to the Lord in repentance. Surrender to Him with complete devotion."
Finally, he wrote, "This earthquake is nothing. The real earthquake is that when the earth will shake with a strong tremor. And the mountains will crumble. After that, it will turn into scattered dust." (Surah Al-Waqi'ah: 4-6)
