Government is trying to keep people of all religions safe: Mahfuz Alam

Information Advisor Mahfuz Alam said that domestic and foreign evil forces were involved in the previous attacks on temples and minorities. The government is trying to ensure the safety of people of all religions.

He said this while visiting the Dhakeshwari Temple in the capital on Wednesday (October 1) evening on the occasion of Durga Puja.

The information advisor said that the government is working to build a new Bangladesh by maintaining communal harmony. For the past two years, the Durga Puja holiday has been extended so that followers of traditional religions can celebrate the festival without any hindrance.

Mahfuz Alam commented that the interim government is setting an example in building a new Bangladesh so that people of all religions and castes can live with equal rights.

He said that domestic and foreign evil forces were involved in the previous attacks on temples and minorities. The government is trying to ensure the safety of people of all religions.

The Information Advisor hopes that the upcoming elections and those that come after the elections will also maintain that continuity.

He said that the progress that began after August 5 will continue.
